Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Peri is built for privacy first. Your health information is personal, and this policy explains exactly how it is handled. You can use Peri without creating an account.
1. Your health data stays on your device
- Symptom, cycle, and HRT data — including severities, sleep, stress, mood, energy, notes, medications and doses — is stored locally on your device. Peri uses SwiftData on Apple devices and Room/DataStore on Android.
- Android app backup is disabled. Peri excludes its Android database, settings, and exports from cloud backup. On Apple devices, any optional iCloud behavior is controlled through your Apple account.
- CSV and PDF reports are generated on your device and leave Peri only when you choose a destination through the platform share sheet.
2. Information we do collect
- Accounts: Peri for Android does not require or create an account. If an Apple-platform version separately offers optional sign-in, the app explains that choice before collecting an email.
- Android product analytics: Peri uses a dedicated PostHog project for limited product events such as app version, platform, environment, navigation/action names, report generation, and purchase-screen state. GeoIP enrichment is disabled. Peri does not send symptom names or counts, severity, notes, cycle event types or dates, medication names or categories, dose sites, or other health-entry values to PostHog.
- Purchases: subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play. These services receive purchase and device/purchaser identifiers needed to provide and restore Premium. We do not receive your payment card details.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share your health entries with anyone.
3. Not a medical device
Peri is a self-tracking and informational tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition and is not a substitute for professional medical care. Any patterns it shows reflect your own logged data and do not prove causation. Never start, stop, or change a treatment based on this app — talk to your doctor.
4. Retention & deletion
Your entries live on your device. In Peri for Android, use Profile → Delete All Data to erase local health data and settings. Deleting local data or the app does not cancel a subscription; manage subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play. If you separately used an optional account or iCloud feature on an Apple device, manage that data through the applicable account settings or contact us.
5. Your rights
If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR including access, portability, and erasure. To exercise them, contact privacy@openverse.tech.
6. Children
Peri is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
